An immersive culinary experience combining technology and storytelling was introduced at Hilton Bengaluru, where the globally popular dining concept Le Petit Chef made its debut. The interactive show brought a miniature animated chef to life through 3D projection mapping, transforming the dining table into a stage for a unique gastronomic performance.
The experience blended digital animation with a multi course meal, allowing diners to watch a tiny chef appear on their plates and “prepare” each dish through a playful storyline before the real food was served. The concept used high precision projection technology to create the illusion of the animated character cooking and exploring different cuisines right on the table surface.
The attraction opened to guests starting 20 February 2026, offering a carefully curated menu that matched the narrative of the show. Each course was introduced through a short animated sequence that connected the storytelling with the flavours presented to diners.
Originally created by a Belgian creative studio, Le Petit Chef has travelled across several cities worldwide and gained popularity for its mix of entertainment and fine dining. By bringing the concept to Bengaluru, the hotel aimed to introduce guests to a dining format that combined visual theatre with culinary artistry.
The experience reflected a growing trend in hospitality where restaurants increasingly integrate technology, storytelling, and experiential dining to create memorable moments for guests beyond traditional meals.
