Premium coffee culture in India is gaining momentum as Nestlé India expands the retail presence of its luxury coffee brand Nespresso with a new boutique in Gurugram. The immersive store, located at Ambience Mall Gurgaon, marks another step in the company’s strategy to strengthen its footprint in India’s growing premium coffee segment.

The launch follows the brand’s first boutique in Select Citywalk, which opened in 2025 and introduced Indian consumers to the Nespresso retail experience. With the Gurugram outlet, the company aims to bring its signature blends, coffee machines and curated tasting experiences closer to coffee enthusiasts in the National Capital Region.

Unlike a traditional retail store, the boutique has been designed as an experiential space where visitors can explore Nespresso’s full range of coffee systems. Customers can discover flavour profiles, receive personalised consultations and participate in guided tastings that showcase the brand’s premium blends and brewing techniques.

Industry observers say the move reflects the growing demand among urban consumers for high-end, at-home coffee experiences. As more households invest in premium coffee machines and speciality blends, companies are increasingly using experiential retail formats to engage customers beyond simple product purchases.

The Gurugram boutique also improves accessibility for consumers across the Delhi-NCR region, a market known for its cosmopolitan lifestyle and rising interest in speciality beverages. According to Nestlé India’s leadership, the expansion builds on the strong response received after the brand’s first retail debut in the capital.

Operations for the brand in India are supported by Thakral Innovations Pvt. Ltd., the official distribution partner responsible for bringing Nespresso products across retail channels. Globally, the brand also promotes sustainability through its AAA Sustainable Quality Program, which works with more than 157,000 coffee farmers across 18 countries to improve crop quality and farming practices.

With India’s coffee consumption rising and consumer tastes becoming more sophisticated, such experiential boutiques are expected to play a key role in shaping the country’s evolving speciality coffee culture.
