The Waffle Co., a fast-growing dessert-focused quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand in India, has announced an ambitious expansion plan to open more than 200 new outlets across the country by the first half of 2026. The move underscores strong demand for organised dessert formats and reflects the brand’s strategy to strengthen its footprint in both major metropolitan areas and emerging Tier-II and Tier-III cities.

According to the company’s leadership, the rollout will include high-street locations, shopping malls and neighbourhood hubs that match evolving consumer preferences for impulse desserts and quick treats — especially among families and younger customers. Cities targeted for new openings include hubs such as Mumbai (multiple neighbourhoods), Hyderabad, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Roorkee, Gangtok and Muzaffarpur, showing a wide geographical spread.

The brand’s growth strategy is built on a scalable business model that appeals to both franchise partners and company-run formats, aiming to bring quality waffles and complementary menu items to more Indian consumers. Its success to date highlights the broader organised QSR category’s expansion beyond traditional coffee and snack formats — driven by rising disposable incomes and preference for branded eating experiences across urban and semi-urban markets.
